\                                             Class IV English           As I begin to sit down to reflect on my reading lesson, i feel a sense of pride for having achieved my goal.The other day I had uploaded the reading material ( poem titled ' Picnic') on our class WeChat group. Children were asked to read it thoroughly and to make a video of themselves reading it. The assessment criteria was also given before hand. (Fluency, Pronunciation and Enunciation) This was done in order to save time and to keep children engaged at home. This also provided a platform for the parents to involve in their children's learning. This way the parents can also get a glimpse of what kind of activity their children do at school.   Class IV English                Topic: Quotation Marks The topic that I taught was quotation marks. I showed the example of quotation marks on the Smart board and asked them to read. I asked them what is different in the sentence given here? I noted the students' responses. Then I gave them the definition of quotation marks with example. I also projected the video on what is quotation marks with examples. Students watched the video and later they were provided worksheet as a follow up activity. I could see that students were seriously watching the video without any noise. This shows that as a teacher we just have to give them the platform to learn by themselves. They were able to understand and complete the worksheet correctly. Students enjoy learning through ICT instead of teacher always teaching.                                                        Class IV English                                                         Text: Deserts and Desert life The successful integration of ICT into teaching and learning will depend on the teachers’ ability to merge technology appropriately with the pedagogy. Using ICT in teaching improves engagement and knowledge retention, as students become more engaged in the work which is more fun and enjoyable.   The Caterpillar and the Butterfly poem. (Descriptive poem)                               Class III -                                                       This is a poem that tells us about the butterfly’s beauty. Students were shown some pictures of insects like beetles, bugs, butterfly and grasshoppers and asked them to name these insects. They were also asked to demonstrate the movements of the insects that they have seen. Then they were allowed to discuss the features of caterpillar and butterfly on their own. Then they were asked to read along with the teacher emphasizing on the new words, using clear pronunciation, proper intonation, rhythm and pace.
